The Department
Aesthetic plastic surgery offers the possibility to improve the one’s appearance but depends largely on the surgeon’s skills and qualifications. The Department of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery at the EMCO Private Hospital, which performs more than 400 procedures each year, enjoys an excellent reputation both locally and internationally. Dr. Walther Jungwirth, head of the department, aims to treat patients in the best way possible and provide patients with a natural look without a radical change in appearance. He is the first plastic surgeon to provide power-assisted liposuction in Europe and the first plastic surgeon worldwide to have the quality certification ISO 9002. In addition, the department works interdisciplinarily with the Department of Dermatology for reconstructive procedures.
