Univ. Prof. Johann Langmayr, MD

Department of Neurosurgery - Spine Surgery

Dr. Langmayr graduated from the Medical University of Innsbruck in 1984 and completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Innsbruck University Hospital. During his residency, he completed several hospital stays at São Paulo University Hospital for Neurosurgery, the Spine Center in Chicago, Hanover University Hospital and Charité – University of Medicine, Berlin. From 1993 to 2004, he served as consultant for the clinic of neurosurgery at Innsbruck University Hospital and he is Professor for cervical disc replacement at the Medical University of Innsbruck.
With more than 4000 surgical procedures, 3000 CT-guided minimally invasive spine procedures, 15000 clinically examined patients suffering from spine problems, establishment of different spine treatment techniques at Innsbruck University Hospital and development of vertebral body prosthesis, Univ. Prof. Dr. Johann Langmayr enjoys a great reputation in Austria.
